Translating Life

At the Barna Lab, we believe the best breakthroughs happen at the intersection of deep science and deep breaths. We are a collective of ribosome-obsessed foodies, coffee aficionados, and cat devotees who aren't afraid of a little noise—whether it’s a lively debate over data or the resonant ring of a sound bath. We have "words of wisdom moments" (WOW) at group meeting--ask us about those.
From the halls of Stanford to our annual camping trips under the stars, we find our best ideas when we’re exploring the outdoors or trying (and occasionally failing) to find Zen in a group meditation, a new direction for the lab at present. We talk a lot, eat even better, and believe that a well-rested, well-caffeinated mind is the key to unlocking the mysteries of translation.
